Cover Crazy #32

Cover Crazy was created by The Bookworms. It's a great way to share a book cover that took your breath away!

To me, there is NOTHING better than a cover of a book. One of my favourite places, in the world, is a book store. I can walk around them for hours just looking at covers of books. I am well aware of the saying "You can't judge a book by its cover", I just don't believe it!

When I find a book cover that I love, I will always read the back and then make my purchasing decision, but... WOW... there is just something amazing about a gorgeous cover! So, moving forward, I am going to share those covers that just made me want to escape and read a book instantly!

Without further adieu, here is the cover I am crazy about this week:

Butterfly Clues by Kate Ellison

What this cover says to me:

First off... Happy (one day late) Valentine's Day!! I thought in honour of the 'love' day, I would post a cover that I loooooved.

I know, I know, a Valentine's Day cover should be all lovey dovey and the story all romantic, right?! Well, maybe, but I love the cover of this novel and the red is good enough to be appropriate - to me anyways!

The cover, as a whole, leads me to believe that it's a mystery... and a murder mystery at that. However, there is something so simple and yet so deep about butterflies. Whenever I see one used in a story/picture, I think of growth and of one coming out of their shell. Now, it could very well be a simple, pretty image but who knows, and that adds to the whole appeal.

What cover took your breath away this week?

  2. I like the layout of the cover, but I'm not sure if I like the blood splatter pattern ...

    Thanks for the visit!
