The Mariah Carey collection is set to release in January 2013 and I, for one, am so excited about it because it has a brand new type of polish in it - The Liquid Sand. When I originally heard about this, I immediately thought of Katy Perry and the shatter polishes because people went buck-wild over these and now most are found in the discount section of salons because really, who likes that finish anymore?! However, it doesn't matter... I will be jumping on this bandwagon (along with millions, I am sure) to check out the awesome new texture.
Here are the polish colours (including a small desciption) and swatch cards:

A little snippit about the 'Liquid Sand' finish -
“It’s textured nail polish,” OPI executive VP and artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann told a room full of Canadian beauty editors and bloggers this afternoon at the Trump Hotel in Toronto.
“You don’t have to do anything to it, you don’t have to add anything… this is actually how it comes out of the bottle. You don’t put a top coat on it because the matte look is what actually makes it unique [sic],” she said.
Overall, I am so excited about this collection and the polishes that I will be adding to my MUST-HAVE list are Stay the Night, The Impossible and Sprung. I will be interested in seeing how close Pink Yet Lavender is to Essie's A Cut Above... looks very similar in the swatch!
Thank you to the below noted blogs/websites for all the information! Stay tuned for information on the other excited OPI collection available in 2013!
Don't forget to check out my post on Essie's 2012/2013 Winter collection too!!
