When are you TOO old...

This is a bit of a random blog today but lately it seems that I have been asking myself the same question over and over and over... 'Am I TOO old for this?'.  So, I thought I would take it to my readers... what do you think?

When are you TOO old to...

 

1. Wear glitter nail polish?

If I think back on it, I don't ever remember my mom wearing glitter on her nails... EVER.  Red, yes; Pink, uh-huh; Nudes, you bet; Glitter? Nope.  So that leads me to wonder... when are you TOO old for glitter nail polish? 

My collection of polishes has a lot of glitter in it.  I am a fan of bling and all things sparkly so don't really have an issue with it BUT at what age does this stop being acceptable and start being a bit crusty and creepy?

2. Skinny Jeans?

I will start by saying that I am not a skinny jeans person... at all.. but that has more to do with the enormous size of my thighs than how I feel about the jeans on their own.  However, skinny jeans and jeggings and, heck, yoga pants are all the rage this season and I cringe at thinking of the people that will be trying to jump on this bandwagon. 

3. Young Adult novels and the movies they represent?

Yup, I am going there... are you ever too old to read a specific genre of novel?  What about fangirling over the movie when it is released? 

I will admit that there are times when I feel a little out of place browsing the new releases in the young adult section... especially when surrounded by teens and tweens who happen to be holding the same books as me.  Likewise, when I find myself in a theatre, at midnight, to watch the newest Twilight/Harry Potter/Hunger Games movie and am surrounded by girls who are loving on the 'hunk' of the movie (who, admittedly is MUCH younger than I am), is it wrong that I want to jump into the conversation?

4. Go Clubbing?

Gotta admit, I haven't done this since my very early twenties... VERY EARLY but there is a really cool country (yes, I am one of those people) bar in town and I always find myself wanting to test the waters with my girlfriend but then think... are we too old to be clubbin'?  Maybe a country bar and a 'dance(ish) bar' are different... but what if they aren't and I suddenly become the 'Cougar' in the crowd.  Ugh... *shivers*

I am sure there are many more instances of 'Am I TOO old for this' that will come up and who knows, maybe I will post again.  I would love to hear some of your stories so please comment below and let me know your thoughts on the above questions and, of course, some of your own!
