TBR Tuesdays was created by Dana at Let's Book It. It's a place to share books that have been on our to-be-read (TBR) list for a while and also to possibly add yet another book to the list by visiting participating blogs!Face it, we all have lists of books that we would love to read and if you are anything like me, you likely have the pile of books to prove it. There are so many ways to track book lists, whether you choose to use an online library like Goodreads or LibraryThing or perhaps even an Excel spreadsheet or notebook in your purse, having books to buy is the biggest part of being a book lover.
Together with my Book of the Month (where I am attempting to shorten the TBR list, one book at a time), TBR Tuesdays will be a place that I am going to share one book from my list. It may be a new book, it may be an old book, it may even be a book that isn't out yet... either way, a book will be shared.
If you would like to get in on the action, please add your name to the linky below and link up your TBR Tuesday post. Also make sure you head on over to Let's Book It to see others who are also sharing this week!
Without further adieu, here is this week's book:
Here I Go Again by Jen Lancaster
Did you read Jen's last fictional novel, If You Were Here? If you did then you too will be sitting on pins and needles waiting for the release of Here I Go Again. Never have I laughed so hard, read, aloud, so many phrases (my poor husband) than I have with that book. I CANNOT wait for this book to come out... literally CANNOT WAIT!
Summary (from Jen's Facebook page):
KARMA COMES AROUND FOR THIS MEAN GIRL - BUT NOW SHE HAS A CHANCE TO RIGHT HER WRONGS.
Twenty years after ruling the halls of her suburban Chicago high schook. Lissy Ryder doesn't understand why her glory days ended. Back then she was worshipped... beloved... feared. Present day, not so much. She's been pink-slipped from her high-paying job, dumped by her husband, and kicked out of her condo. Now, at thirty-seven, she's struggling to start a business out of her parents' garage and sleeping under the hair-band posters in her old bedroom.
Lissy finally realizes karma is the only bitch bigger than she was. Her present is miserable because of her past. But it's not like she can go back in time and change who she was... or can she?
Anticipated release date - December 31, 2012
