Summary (from amazon.com):

Is any relationship strong enough to survive a string of secrets?
With a great job at a reputable magazine and a man who's the perfect match, Serenity Holland thinks she's laid the foundation for an ideal London life. When a routine assignment uncovers a shocking secret threatening her boyfriend's company, Serenity decides to leave nothing to chance, taking matters into her own hands. Soon, though, she realises keeping secrets isn't as easy as she thought . . . and the consequences are far worse than she ever imagined.

Review:

**NOTE: This review may contain spoilers to those who have not read Build A Man, book one in the series**

Sometimes even the best intentions can lead to disaster!

Nothing makes me happier than knowing that Serenity and Jeremy were able to overcome the difficulties of their past and start a loving relationship.  Even though I could see that coming throughout Build A Man, you just never know how things will turn out in the end.  As I mentioned in my review for Build A Man, Serenity is one of those main characters that you can't help but love.   Once again, she is letting her heart lead her life and we all know that isn't always the smartest way to go about things.  While reading about Serenity is like being caught in a tornado, I wouldn't want to see her any other way.

As a seasoned reader, I was amazed when I realized that Talli Roland was a self-published author as she has such a wonderful ability to tell a story.  Her characters come alive on the pages, the cities are bustling and the atmosphere electric.  Readers can't help but feel as though they are part of the story.

Being a second novel in a series can sometimes leave the reader wanting more (ie. New Moon) but that is not the case with Construct A Couple.  Readers are brought right back into the story that left off at the end of Build A Man and there are not any lags in the story.  The characters are all the same and the new ones introduced are on par with the originals.

Overall, Talli Roland has secured herself as one of my favourite authors.  Fans of chick lit will definitely not be disappointed when you pick up one of her books!
