Cover Crazy was created by The Bookworms but is now hosted here at Turning the Pages. It's a great way to share a book cover that took your breath away!To me, there is NOTHING better than a cover of a book. One of my favourite places, in the world, is a book store. I can walk around them for hours just looking at covers of books. I am well aware of the saying "You can't judge a book by its cover", I just don't believe it!
When I find a book cover that I love, I will always read the back and then make my purchasing decision, but... WOW... there is just something amazing about a gorgeous cover! So, moving forward, I am going to share those covers that just made me want to escape and read a book instantly!
Without further adieu, here is the cover I am crazy about this week:
Being in Las Vegas this week I thought it would be appropriate to feature some Vegas style books. When I think of Vegas I think of glitz and glam... all things sparkly and blingy! You know, the city that never sleeps has such an electric atmosphere that all I think of is nightclubs and casinos and girls dripping in diamonds!

Carrie Duffy's debut novel, Idol, is exactly what I picture Vegas being like. It has the hot pink that totally matches the season's trent, the sparkly glitz that goes with that diamond feel and a hot chick on the front... what more would you want!

In a slightly different way, I think that Tahereh Mafi's Shatter Me has a cover that is very Vegas. I love that dress that the girl on the cover is wearing and that, along with the shatter's glass effect of the cover make me think 'What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas'.

Afterparty by Ann Redisch Stampler is a book that I haven't seen before but the moment I happened upon the cover, I knew it would be a perfect book for this edition of Cover Crazy! No shoes, no shirt, no problem... that seems Vegas-y, no?? I think of a long night on the strip when I see this cover and the lights in the background are so beautiful!
What cover or covers make you think of Vegas?
