I am so happy to be part of the tour for Samantha March's debut novel, Destined to Fail. Having read and reviewed this book back in November, I chose to go a slightly different route this time around. I thought a fun, Top Ten post would be a great way to meet the author behind this amazing book.
That being said, I don't want you to miss out on reading my thoughts on the book, so please make sure you head over and check out my review as well!
So, without further adieu, let's take a look inside Samantha's mind as she answers these questions:
My favorite movie is a classic throwback – CLUELESS. I had that movie memorized line for line after watching it so many times. It came out when I was eight, so to watch it as a teenager and finally pick up on those curious lines I didn’t recognize as a youngster - too funny. And it made me fall in love with pens that had feathers on the tips.
My favorite actress is Reese Witherspoon. I have admired her for so many years and actually gave a speech in college (for speech class) that was me introducing her for an award that she won.
My favorite actor is much harder. As of lately I would say Jonah Hill. Such a character!
2. Favorite song/singer?
This changes weekly. I love anything from pop to hip-hop to rock. I actually just heard this song at a karaoke night the other night and did the whole “This is my favorite song!” shout. The culprit- “Thunder Rolls” by Garth Brooks. That song can simply haunt me. But I’m not a country fan. Go figure.
3. Favorite place you would love to visit?
Well, my list is a mile long for that, but Italy and Greece are at the top of my list!
4. One item you cannot live without?
Yikes. Hmm...can I say my Kindle? I would just need to figure out how to keep downloading the books on there :)
5. Who would you like to meet? (dead or alive) Aaron Rodgers! I’m a huge Green Bay fan – and shareholder.
(Blogger note... it really hurt me a little to write that one in... hubby is a die-hard 49ers fan)
6. Favorite hobby?
Reading! Then writing, followed by dancing and working out.
7. Guilty pleasure?
Eating ice cream. It happens way too often.
8. Favorite author and/book?
I usually answer Kristy’s Great Idea by Ann M. Martin. It was the first book in The Baby-Sitters Club series, and one that really inspired me.
9. Do you collect anything?
Books. Workout videos. Earrings with missing backs.
10. Favorite color?
Pink! I’m such a girl :) Though I love my birthstone, aquamarine, and would say it’s a close second.
