What the heck is that? I know you are asking that yourself, right now.Well, it's pretty simple, actually. The 'A - Z' book challenge is a meme created by Lindsey at Babies, Books and Signs and basically challenges you to read the alphabet. That doesn't sound too bad, does it?
Technical Stuff
*This challenge will run from January 1st, 2012 until December 31st, 2012.
*You can join anytime.
*If you are blogger, leave the link to your actual post about this challenge (If you are not a blogger, leave a link to where you will be keeping track of this challenge)There are two different ways you can set up your own A-Z challenge.
1 - Make a list now of 26 books, picking one for each letter of the alphabet. For example:
A - Atonement
B - Black Beauty
C - The Count of Monte Cristo D - Dances with Dragons etc.
OR
2 - The lazy way (how I do it) : Make a list on your blog from A-Z. Throughout the year, as you go along, add the books you are reading to the list. Read one book per letter of the alphabet and you are set.
Since it is really hard to find titles beginning with X, the letter X just needs to be in the title somewhere.How to join:
1. Write a blog post about the challenge and whether you're going with 1 or 2.
2. Add the button to your blog.
3. Attach yourself to the linky.
4. Follow my blog so that you can see when I post the monthly challenge!

ReplyDeleteCan't decide if titles that begin with 'The' should count as 'T' titles or the first letter of the following word... for now, I counted it as a 'T'... we'll see how many there end up being and that may just change!

Have decided that books with 'The' in the title will count as the first letter of the NEXT word :) Too many begin with the dreaded THE!

I would love to do this but I'm new at blogging so the whole linky thing and adding your button lost me? Would books I have read SINCE 1/1 count or is starting when I join? Love this idea! Explain a bit for me an count me in! :)
