Summary (from chapters.ca):
Maddie Moore's whole life needs a makeover.
In one fell swoop, Maddie loses her boyfriend (her decision) and her job (so not her decision). But rather than drowning her sorrows in bags of potato chips, Maddie leaves L.A. to claim the inheritance left by her free-spirited mother - a ramshackle inn nestled in the little coastal town of Lucky Harbor, Washington.
Starting over won't be easy. Yet Maddie sees the potential for a new home and a new career - if only she can convince her two half-sisters to join her in the adventure. But convincing Tara and Chloe will be difficult because the inn needs a big makeover too.
The contractor Maddie hires is a tall, dark-haired hottie whose eyes - and mouth - are making it hard for her to remember that she's sworn off men. Even harder will be Maddie's struggles to overcome the past, though she's about to discover that there's no better place to call home than Lucky Harbor.
Review:
The first book in a series that already has multiple books released makes me very happy. Why, you may ask? Well, because I can read one after another after another. YAY! Simply Irresistible is actually the first book in a two-part novel called 'Christmas in Lucky Harbor' and I am barely taking enough time to write this review before I dive back in for part two.
Taking a combination of family, new beginnings, old secrets and a hot new romance - while throwing in a little Christmas cheer - has allowed Jill Shalvis to created a fabulous base for her story. Maddie, the main character, has such a dark past but is so timid, so afraid to voice anything against her sisters - Tara, the Steel Magnolia and Chloe, the Wild Child - that you can't help but feel sorry for her and cheer her on as she gains self-esteem and finds her voice.
The setting of Lucky Harbor, Washington, feels as though it was taken straight from my image of the perfect small town. I dream of one day living in a small town and this solidified it... I will make it happen. A bed-and-breakfast, a marina, a cozy cottage. Sigh, the perfect setting for long summer nights and cold winter cuddling. Speaking of cuddling, Jax... YUM!
Overall, this novel was the perfect beginning to, what I am hoping, is a long series.

Haven't heard of this author before, sounds like a good read. Thanks for the review
